Deadliest Catch S08E01

Deadliest Catch Season 8 Episode 1

Review: In this episode the only thing that I thought was shocking was that the Cornelia Marie shutdown business for good, that really made sad because you know I have been watching the show for a while now and I really got close to the crew so the Cornelia Marie was my favorite boat and the Northwestern.
I blame mostly the brothers  for the boat shutdown but life is life and business is business, but they continued with us one of the brothers Josh went to the Hillstrand brothers boat and Jake went to the Northwestern and so far the boats are running wonderfully with them part of the crew.
The other thing that happen on this episode is that the rules for fishing red king crab have changed to half the quota and many of the boats need to decide if they catch red king crab or decide to fish for blue king crab which is more expensive giving them more money to compensate for the cut from the quota but is that a good or a bad decision??

Chronicle (2012)

Chronicle (2012)

Review: "Chronicle", for starter I didn't understand the name why they chose that name for this movie, they could call it Guy With Powers, or Friends Power just an idea.
The first thing that I really loved about the movie was that the used a different way to shoot the movie they call it "found footage", it reminds me of the great Cloverfield, Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity and many others, this kind of filmmaking is growing because it's less expensive and easier to make.
The movie gives us great scenarios from Seattle and the Space Needle with great first person images, that I found absolutely breath taking and if you haven't watch it you really need to.
Chronicle follows the lives of three friends that after an amazing discovery they gained powers and shows us what that changes in their lives.
To finish I just got to say that this movie is really amazing for a low budget one, and I just reminded of another movie with low budget that made success "Skyline", they are make the second one now. Chronicle is also going to have a second movie after the success of this first one and I can't wait for it.

Sherlock Holmes A Game Of Shadows (2011)

Sherlock Holmes A Game Of Shadows (2011)
 IMDB
Review: "Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows", this is the sequel from the first Sherlock Holmes movie by the director Guy Ritchie, which is a bit weird when directing a movie, and when I say weird I say weird in the best possible way, like the movies Snatch and most recently Rocknrolla with Gerald Butler. It's the kind of director that loves action and fight scenes and explosions.
Sherlock Holmes once again by Robert Downey Jr. with his colleague Jude Law, their are really good actors performing together and that chemistry that makes the Sherlock Holmes movies great and people like that so they spend money watching it, not just that also the amazing fight scenes by Robert Downey Jr with the brilliantism of the slow motion showing us that his mind can see the future.
In this sequel we got a lot more action, we see more fight scenes and explosions, and people like that, that's why Guy Richie is clever when he does that, we see the new Moriarty and let me tell you that was a good choice because he brings a new face to the bad guy with a great performance.

What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993)

What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993)

IMDB

Review: "What's Eating Gilbert Grape", the story of how I found this movie is really great because I was just browsing in IMDB database, in Leonardo Di Caprio database to be precise and I was seeing what movies he has done that I already haven't seen so I was in Titanic then behind him was this movie and I thought what movie is this??? I haven't watch it yet and with Johnny Depp well I have to see it. It was also nominated for the oscars with Leonardo's performance in the movie.
While I was watching the movie I could find the actor Leonardo Di Caprio, but then I recognized him and I said to myself OMG!! he his so young and not as handsome as he his in the titanic and he was 19 years old that time.
Back to the movie, it's not the greatest movie I have ever seen but Leonardo's performance is absolutely breath taking and I really thought he was a retarded person he deserved the nomination.
Other than that the movie tells an amazing story for you to think about what you say about obese people and the impact that that have on their lives.

Titanic (1997)

Titanic (1997)

Review: "Titanic" is probably the most amazing masterpiece ever made in the history of cinema, if you say the word Titanic everyone who hears it know what you are talking about, and if you say something horrible people will slap you.
This movie gained a world wide knowledge because of a sinking ship and what was happening while she sunk, love, tragedy, all sort of things.
Probably you have seen it and if you haven't well it's time to watch it!!!!!!
Titanic stars Kate Winslet and Leonardo Di Caprio, after this movie the director James Cameron and the actors became worldwide famous and made them millions and millions of dollars one of the most profitable movies in the history of cinema almost 2 billion dollars.
After this movie James Cameron did a few other great and amazing movies like AVATAR in 2009 that also made a lot o money but lost the best picture oscar to his ex-wife for The Hurt Locker.
There is nothing else to say about because you have seen it and know what happens in the end so enjoy and visit other posts.

Hunger (2008)

Hunger (2008)

Review: "Hunger" is another movie from actor Michael Fassbender, since I wrote a review of his newest movie "Shame", after the nominations that the movie received I decided to see what other mvoies the actor has made and watch them and Hunger is one of them and the director is the same Steve McQueen.
Michael Fassbender is being raising in the Hollywood world with his peculiar roles like this one and his being showing what he's got to offer.
Hunger tells the story of the last days of the IRA soldier Bobby Sands that is on a hunger strike to obtain political power and ends up daying in the process but he obtained what he wanted for his people to be heard.
While watching the movie some scenes disgusted me like the way they live, with no clothes just one blanket in the freezing cold, and how the cleaned their rear end... it's really amazing.
The actor told a magazine that he wouldn't pass through it again even if they paid him a lot of money.

Shame (2011)

Shame (2011)

Storytline: Brandon is a 30-something man living in New York who is unable to manage his sex life. After his wayward younger sister moves into his apartment, Brandon's world spirals out of control. From director Steve McQueen (Hunger), Shame is a compelling and timely examination of the nature of need, how we live our lives and the experiences that shape us.

Review: "Shame" is the most amazing movie that I have watched this past year, OMG!! alright it's simply fantastic. Michael Fassbender gives an amazing performance with some nude scenes that were the talks of hollywood's magazine and some comments from actresses.
The image that the movie wants to show people that being an addict, in this case sex addict or or type of addict brings consequences to your life.

Contraband (2012)

Contraband (2012)

Storytline: Chris Faraday once smuggled illegal items or contraband into the country on freighters. He left that life behind, got married has a family and went legit. But when his brother-in-law got involved with Briggs, a drug dealer and when he blew a deal, Briggs demands restitution which he can't deliver. So Chris offers to find a way to pay him but the he threatens Chris' family if he doesn't deliver. So he gets on a freighter destined for Panama and he sets out to bring back some counterfeit currency. Briggs "goes to see" Chris' family. When Chris learns of this he asks his friend Sebastian to take care of them which he does. He tells Chris that it would be better to bring drugs instead of the cash.

Review:
"Contraband" is another action movie with the amazing Mark Wahlberg, he's just the perfect actor to make this movie because he just have that badass look that makes you like the character like you do in this movie.

This movie has the tipical story wife's brother gets in trouble then he's go to save him and he 's so badass that he knows everything and has to do all sort of macgyver things to save him and his family but I really enjoyed the movie.

Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011)

Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011)

Storytline: In the 4th installment of the Mission Impossible series, Ethan Hunt and his team are racing against time to track down a dangerous terrorist named Hendricks, who has gained access to Russian nuclear launch codes and is planning a strike on the United States. An attempt by the team to stop him at the Kremlin ends in a disaster, with an explosion causing severe destruction to the Kremlin and the IMF being implicated in the bombing, forcing the President to invoke Ghost Protocol, under which the IMF is disavowed, and will be offered no help or backup in any form. Undaunted, Ethan and his team chase Hendricks to Dubai, and from there to Mumbai, but several spectacular action sequences later, they might still be too late to stop a disaster.

Review: "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" is the lastest movie of Tom Cruise, a movie that he decided to make just because his good friend JJ Abrahams was going to be involved in the project.
I saw the movie last night and I got to say say that was the best time that I spent watching mission impossible, well it's a good movie you could watch 6, 7 or 8 other mission impossible movies and you wouldn't get tired of seeing it just like 007 and also that Tom Cruise brings magic to the movie you can't forget that.

Coriolanus (2011)

Coriolanus (2011)

Storytline: The citizens of Rome are hungry. Coriolanus, the hero of Rome, a great soldier and a man of inflexible self-belief despises the people. His extreme views ignite a mass riot. Rome is bloody. Manipulated and out-maneuvered by politicians and even his own mother Volumnia, Coriolanus is banished from Rome. He offers his life or his services to his sworn enemy Tullus Aufidius.

Review: "Coriolanus", well it's an odd movie for Ralph Fiennes and Gerald Butler, it's a change for them because the movie is inspired in Shakespeare that's why the actors speak in a strange way, shakespirian. I like this kind of movies because of all the different from usual scenarios that they use the city is a little odd it reminds me of the movie Children Of Men great movie actually, the story is also weird the Rome soldiers against the resistance you got to see it it's really a different kind of movie from what you are used to.

The Last Of The Mohicans (1992)

The Last Of The Mohicans (1992)

Storytline: Three trappers protect a British Colonel's daughters in the midst of the French and Indian War.

Review: "The Last Of The Mohicans", I have never watched this movie, I have been wanting to do it for years but every time I started the movie I got tired and ended up not watching it.
Well we are in 2012 and I decided that it was time to gain courage and watch it so I did and let me tell you I didn't think to much of it, just another amazing movie from 1992 that was nominated for oscars.
If you watched it back in 1992, comment on it.
